LA spine specialists visit Jaseng

A spine specialist from a major Los Angeles based hospital bisits Jaseng in hopes of collaborating on research.

Michael A. Kropf MD is a renowned board certified orthopaedic surgeon at the Cedars-Sinai Spine Center. His invitation was extended to him back in February of this year, when Dr. Joon-shik Shin was invited by Cedars-Sinai Medical Center to give a lecture on Jaseng’s non-surgical spine treatment and research. Dr. Kropf was highly interested in Korean Eastern medicine’s approach and had hopes to collaborate shortly after.

After several rounds of discussion with Dr. Shin and members of Jaseng’s research team, Dr. Kropf stated that he was “deeply impressed by Dr. Shin’s achievement of having created optimal treatments for patients with spine and disc conditions by integrating traditional Eastern Korean medicine with conventional Western techniques.” He further elaborated by saying that he would like to further incorporate Western medicine to Jaseng’s methods to create an even more integrative approach.

While observing patients being treated during his stay, he showed the most interest in Bee Venom Acupuncture Therapy?which is highly effective for pain relief?and Chuna Herbal Medication, which regenerates bones and nerves. Based on his observations, he plans to pick a specific topic and start a full-fledged study.

Along with the joint research, Dr. Kropf also suggested a collaborative spine clinic in Santa Monica, CA, USA. With this proposal, we look forward to Jaseng’s further expansion into the U.S. market.
